WAMTechnology CC specialises in custom software development projects and provides services related to the complete software. WAMTechnology CC was established in 1995 and has since undertaken many small, medium and large projects for local, national and international clients. Although key focus areas are public health and water information systems, WAMTechnology CC has been involved in many projects related to other sectors also.

WAMTechnology CC has provided international, onsite implementation and training assistance in the following countries: Botswana, Mosambique, Namibia, Nicaragua, Tanzania and Vietnam.

WAMTechnology CC is a Microsoft Certified Partner having successfully met the requirements for the Independent Software Vendor competency.



WAMTechnology CC has been verified in accordance with the Codes of Good Practice on Black Economic Empowerment gazetted on 9 February 2007 in terms of the Broad-Based Black Economic Act of South Africa. We have been certified as a level 5 contributor, and a value adding supplier.

SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES

A detailed list of the services and activities conducted by WAMTechnology is provided below:

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

  • Design, development and maintenance of custom software (using primarily Microsoft technologies) for desktop, network, web and mobile platforms

  • Testing and quality assurance



PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Gathering and analysis of user/customer requirements

  • Task scheduling, management and monitoring

  • Project planning meetings and conference calls

  • Development and monitoring of standard operating procedures (for support and software development)



SUPPORT

  • Technical support assistance to approximately 200 users in all 9 provinces of South Africa, as well as more than 50 international users

  • Via telephone, fax, e-mail and dedicated web sites

  • Advanced technical support: merging of databases, extracting data, inspecting data for integrity or consistency problems

  • Onsite support (as needed)

  • Monitoring and management of the support websites



TRAINING

  • Onsite training support and facilitation (as needed)

  • Development of training materials and agendas



TECHNICAL SERVICES

  • Asset assessments (audits) and reporting for water and health institutions

  • Water quality management and ocean outfall engineering services



OTHER

  • Development of software user manuals and FAQ's

  • Hosting and backups of the support websites

  • Design and development of presentations and other promotional material (e.g. conference banners)

  • Attendance and participation in relevant conferences/events (incl. presentations)
